And the award goes to...
Congratulations to Sean and the cast of "Sky High" for being awarded the "White Lion" award at the Academy for Cinema Arts' Golden Lion Awards Student Film Festival this spring! The festival, now in its 13th year, recognizes outstanding youth filmmakers in grades 3-12 throughout the midwest U.S. Films are judged by industry professionals and film/media university professors.

Drum roll please...
This April, Sean signed up to participate in the 48 Hour Film Project's: High School 48 Short Script Project, where over 100 teens from Europe and the United States were challenged to write a short film screenplay in 48 hours or less. Sean was honored to learn that his script was selected as one of the 8 finalists!

The Tramp and the Dictator
It's a wrap! This weekend, Sean got a chance to play the lead role, Donnie, in the political satire, "The Tramp and the Dictator". Inspired by the films of Charlie Chaplin, it explores the absurdity of class disparity, in classic silent film style.

And the award goes to...
This fall, Sean was back behind the camera to shoot his 3rd official 48 Hour Film Project, "Sky High", an action adventure film about a gang of renegade artists seeking to overthrow a totalitarian state. Shot during the pandemic and screened at a virtual premiere, "Sky High" won two awards at the US Virtual 48 Film Festival ("Best Special Effects" / "Best Opening Credits") and was nominated for an additional two categories ("Best Student Film" / "Best Musical Score").

Second City Youth Ensemble
Just one more preview show left for Sean's improv troupe at Second City! During previews, the ensemble uses improv games, taking suggestions from the audience, to create hilarious and wacky scenes. In a couple weeks, the troupe will begin their six week run of sketch comedy performances, featuring sketches and blackouts written by ensemble members. Check back soon for updates!

It's a wrap!
This July, as the city moves into pandemic Phase 4 reopening, and small productions are slowly being allowed to resume filming, Sean began filming for the Harold Ramis Film School short comedic film, 13 Days. In the film, we follow Sean in the lead role as Blake, trying to find just the right words to say to breakup with his girlfriend.
